I have studied with some of the best Functional Nutritionists & Physicians to become a practicing Functional Diagnostic Nutrition Practitioner.  Our bodies get out of balance and being able to test our hormones, thyroid, gut imbalances and lab work allows us to look for healing opportunities at the root level of di-ease.  I am always continuing my Functional Medicine studies and currently doing that with The School of Applied Functional Medicine.  I am an advocate of getting to the root cause.  Don't guess...test!

Martha Beck:  Harvard professor turned amazing life coach.  Her wisdom and humor, blended with science and spirituality are what introduced me to coaching that connected to our inner guidance.  She also taught me to that we all have similar challenges and to not be in a place of shame around them.  I always appreciated how she would share her own life struggles, learn from them and share.  That’s inspirational.

Dr. Jon Kabat Zinn: The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program, founded by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn in 1979, has been featured in the Bill Moyers’ PBS documentary Healing and The Mind, on NBC Dateline, on ABC’s Chronicle, Oprah, and in various national print media and is the subject of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s best selling book, Full Catastrophe Living. Jon truly is the foremost leader of bringing the science of mindfulness mainstream in medicine, education and business in the world. A very inspirational man and teacher!

The Life Coach School and Weight Loss:  I have studied under Brooke Castillo of the “If I’m So Smart, Why Can’t I Lose Weight?” book and brilliant teacher, mentor of The Life Coach School. This woman is got how to break women out of emotional eating patterns, how to break the cycle of the diet mentality and how to reconnect to their bodies.

Byron Katie: I came across her story of her severe depression for over 10 years and her shift that broke her out of depression.  This was huge for me to see that this was a possibility and depression didn't have to be my identity or my life.  The Work is a simple yet powerful process of inquiry that teaches you to identify and question the thoughts that cause all the suffering in the world. It’s a way to understand what’s hurting you, and to address the cause of your problems with clarity.

Martyn Williams:  Teaching meditation and Living Enlightenment worldwide, in UK, India, Toronto, Calgary, Vancouver, Seattle, Los Angeles, New York, etc.  This is THE guru in teaching meditation…and I am very appreciative that I get to be his grasshopper 🙂

And there’s more of course from my "before crash" life:  I have my Bachelor of Commerce from University of Saskatchewan. In my past career life I was a CFP (Certified Financial Planner, Chartered Wealth Advisor and FCSI) from my 18 years as a advisor/consultant in the corporate financial world.  Interestingly, I had so many limiting beliefs around money from being in this corporate world that I also ended up diving in to become a Money Coach and break my own toxic patterns around money (food and money are patterns that are amazingly similar).  I could be book smart on money and finances, but I also needed to shift those old limiting beliefs of fear, scarcity and limitation that most of us are conditioned in our environment.
