Smoothies to help with cravings
There’s nothing like a smoothie that tastes and looks like a “milkshake” to make you feel like a kid or a grown up having a special day. And just because you’re making healthier choices with your food, doesn’t mean you don’t deserve those special days, too!
These two sugar and dairy free shakes will tickle your taste buds and fill your belly with goodness.
BUDDA BING!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups greens (kale, lettuces, parsley, etc.)
- 1/2 can full fat coconut milk
- 1 whole avocado
- 1/4 cup organic cacao nibs or powder
- 1/2 cup organic frozen Bing cherries (or berry of choice)
- 1 teaspoon organic turmeric
- 1 date
- Filtered water as needed for desired consistency
PEPPERMINT PATTY
Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups greens (kale, lettuces, parsley etc.)
- 2/3 can full fat coconut milk
- 1/2 cup of cacao powder
- 1/4 cup cacao nibs (1/2 in smoothie 1/2 on top)
- 1/2 avocado
- 5 drops peppermint essential oil
- 9 ice cubes
- Filtered water as needed for desired consistency
Directions:
- Pour all the ingredients into your blender, Nutribullet, or Vitamix.
- Whip up for about 30 seconds or to your desired consistency. 30 seconds produces a milkshake
- consistency, which is what I’m after!
- Pour into a Mason jar or holder of choice.
- Top with frozen berries or nibs.
- Serve with straw and spoon to enjoy!
